Welcome to KAKAR Jewelry

To borrow a line from a very popular song, “I’m so excited...I just can’t hide it”. For the first time in my life, I’ll be working for myself. (Of course, with a lot of much needed help from my family.)

First, the name KAKAR (pronounced kaycar), was created using the first name initials of each of my five grandchildren, Keelie, Andrew, Kaitlyn, Ally and Roman.

In August 2008, my husband, Jerry, and I along with our very dear friends, Chris and Fran, took a much anticipated photo Safari to Kenya in Africa. While there, our Vintage Africa Tours guide, Peter, took us to tour the Kazuri Bead Factory. Only thinking ever so slightly about working after retirement, I was so impressed by what I saw there, when I returned to the US I made all the right contacts and I am now the Kazuri Bead Distributor for North and South Carolina. You can read all about this fair trade company under the tab “The Kazuri Story” located on our home page. Connie Ebright arranged our trip and here is a link to her at Ebright Travel. This was the most wonderful trip we have ever taken and I highly recommend it. If you like to travel, don’t miss this Trip of A Lifetime!

I have many beautiful Kazuri beads available. If you are already familiar with Kazuri beads and don’t see the ones you want listed, just let me know and I will get them for you.

I am also offering KAKAR Jewelry, which I have made, some using the Kazuri Beads and some without. I can make any color combination that you want.

I hope you enjoy your shopping experience with us and as we say here in the South, “y’all come back to see us again real soon.”

Brenda
